While Michelle checks to make sure the spiders are all dead (with her boots and extreme prejudice), you and Fuse discuss how to handle the electrified door. You could make bone gloves, or some kind of bone-based tool--you're both pretty sure that bone's not conductive, if it's dry and thick enough it should be safe.

You also keep an eye on the ceiling, in case there's any movement. The first time you ran into one of these spiders, they came out of the ceiling.

You also play with the idea of using the acid from the spiders to open the door. If you could find a way to... squeeze them, maybe? Then--

before you can settle on a plan, Caius takes a deep breath... and kicks the door in.

"I got tired o' waitin'," he says.

"Secret countdown," Michelle chuckles, "Caius's patience."

"You're damn right," Caius replies with a smirk. "They burned one hand and electrocuted tha other, I ain't here to play."

You all proceed into the next room, finding it... flanked by familiar meat walls. And otherwise, looking pretty empty.

"Yeah," Fuse comments sarcastically, "nothing suspicious about this."

"Looks like we got a theme goin'," Michelle remarks. "These are all from the hospital, right?"

The meat wall was, technically, the first monster you encountered. Well, the first one you SAW, you hid from the one that woke you up.

"Damn," Caius replies. "Sucks that you were dealin' with this kinda shit from day one."

"The hospital suuucked," Michelle says. "Blondie got the worst of it, though. I had a big ass gun, and didn't see half the things runnin' around for more than a second or two. Worst part for me was sittin' it out in the stupid break room."

"That'd be the real challenge," Fuse says with a dry chuckle. "The break room would break Caius faster than these monsters could."

Throw a meatball towards the door. See if the walls react.
chaosblitz 6th May 2018, 10:31 PM edit delete reply
I second the meatball-throwing. could be nothing, or it could destroy anything that gets to the door. better safe then sorry.
rufiangel 6th May 2018, 9:34 PM edit delete reply
Everything is greeeen XD; Are they all full of acid and not blood? Gosh dang.

Also, sideways vent? @_@

Let's investigate the sinks, the shelf and the drawers (are they full of fresh-linen-scented towels?)~ hehe.
Swagner 6th May 2018, 9:42 PM edit delete reply
Yeah, I bet so. We ought to watch out for their hands, they seemed pretty dangerous even without the acid.
Blue_Elite 6th May 2018, 10:06 PM edit delete reply
That designates a vent with a cover (as opposed to an open vent).
It also might mean there's a fan in that vent (though I doubt it, there's likely something WORSE lurking in there).
Mochi 6th May 2018, 10:43 PM edit delete reply
it's actually just how the vents in the bunker system look. the other vents we've seen have had vertical grills on them, but the ones in the bunkers have all been horizontal so far.

Get our Vent Hermit on.
Twyll 6th May 2018, 10:02 PM edit delete reply
Best send in a meatball golem first, to make sure it's not trapped. We've seen trapped vents before :/
undeadDreamer 6th May 2018, 9:35 PM edit delete reply
We had better weapons back in the hospital.

We may have, but now we have the power of ✨Friendship✨
Twyll 6th May 2018, 9:47 PM edit delete reply
Better weapons, but no sweet-ass bone armor, and we had no idea what we could actually do with our blood powers.
Fishbulb 6th May 2018, 9:45 PM edit delete reply
The vent looks like a trap. Like, they know Jane's propensity towards vent spelunking, so where better to set up an ambush?
Blue_Elite 6th May 2018, 10:09 PM edit delete reply
You may remember this was around the area our spined friend attacked us and met xes end.
We wouldn't be nearly so lucky if xe was filled with acid if we tried to crush xem in a vent this time...
Twyll 6th May 2018, 9:46 PM edit delete reply
Let's investigate everything, *carefully.* We need to make a Red tentacle or something so we can open things from afar-- the drawers might be rigged to explode or something. Also, checking the vent to make sure it's not electrified or poison-trapped would be good; we *have* encountered a poison vent before, after all.
Ablaze 6th May 2018, 9:56 PM edit delete reply
Those walls will start to move one everyone's inside.
And they are made of acid or worse.

It's there any way to use the acid spiders to melt a different entry into the next room?
a_name 6th May 2018, 10:09 PM edit delete reply
Cunning idea. I like it.
GivingTree 6th May 2018, 9:59 PM edit delete reply
Lets make ourselves a meat golem and have it check out that vent before we go spelunking. Also rather than aggravating the acid-filled walls maybe we could just use the door.
Mochi 6th May 2018, 10:11 PM edit delete reply
check cabinets for lemon scent. if this is the hospital, good ol' door ripper will be in here somewhere.
PurpleKetchup 7th May 2018, 4:09 AM edit delete reply
If this is the hospital, there's going to be Vasquez (or spider-Vasquez...) around. Last time we got the massive advantage of a surprise Stratemeyer boop to the everything.
Not so lucky this time around.

Pretty sure we definitely didn't overprepare. This better be worth it...
Blue_Elite 6th May 2018, 10:13 PM edit delete reply
My biggest concern is those meat walls are going to start leaking acid when we move in. We should make a meat golem right now for door testing. Also to see if something pops out the vent.

EDIT: I wonder if we'll find another cat magazine in here.
ReikoLupus 6th May 2018, 10:21 PM edit delete reply
We don't need to go spelunking in vents anymore. We can send meat-golems in them XD.
In fact, we can simply place a meat Golem here and there and everywhere we go, to act as survelliance cameras, and send them to investigate while we sit and relax XD. (But if do that, Caius is gonna explode, so let's evade that).

For now, investigate the vent, the walls, the drawers, and the other door with meat golems. And Blood some Bandages. If the moment comes, we'll need to restrain an opponent before killing it. Considering that EVERY DAMN MONSTER in this place is made of Acid, we want to be as far as posible before killing something XD.
But seriouslly... The same things as our Adventure in the hospital? The God that designed this place is our fan or something like that? XD.

PS: Now that I see this walls, I'm seriously starting to think about coating us in stomach-mucus for protection against acid... And damn, if this copycat of floor has EVERYTHING we fought against on the real hospital, then the damn final boss with the Vore-Cannon is going to be here too. But instead of vore, it is going to be acid. If the Vore-Cannon take-off half of Michelle's face, then an Acid-Cannon is an 1-HIT-KO. We'll NEED protection against that...
Crestlinger 6th May 2018, 10:23 PM edit delete reply
Blood up two meat balls, throw one to the door handle, the other through the vent and see what happens. Predicting this room is going to fill with acid gas so be ready to Move.
pkrankow 6th May 2018, 10:43 PM edit delete reply
Cabinets for ??? Scent protected us for a while first time

Vent next, carefully. Golem idea is go.
CiciEnixa 6th May 2018, 11:53 PM edit delete reply
I've been reading the comments since the last page, and I find it hilarious that the gist of most enemy predictions now are just "X but with acid" XDDD

Slightly weird that there's no Floor 1 on the wall. If the right side wall hasn't done anything yet, proceed through the room with caution. If we can have a sort of shield facing each of the meat walls, that'd be great.
Memo 6th May 2018, 11:58 PM edit delete reply
Not so weird, we are still at floor 0. We have not reached a new elevator yet

In the hospital we essentially needed a bomb to kill biggest one. We don't have one of those this time. Did we get the supplies for another Nil ritual? If not we could I guess try to make a bone shrapnel bomb from the red.
ReikoLupus 7th May 2018, 12:11 AM edit delete reply
...We need to try it. That's a wonderfull idea XD.
fellow 7th May 2018, 12:45 AM edit delete reply
Thayle's made one before(though it was out of a person) so we might be able to draw on Elizabeth's knowledge. Maybe we should ask her if she knows how to do it.
Blue_Elite 7th May 2018, 3:03 AM edit delete reply
I'm hoping to pull a Tomb of Horrors, "Put the crown on the demilich's head while tapping it with the wrong end of the scepter." I'm hoping we run into a trap that we can avoid triggering AND take with us. Then spring that trap on the final boss creature of this dungeon.

The acid enemies makes sense. Disables Janes greatest advantage and forces her to rely on her friends and skills. To compensate, she should consider stowing the blood gun and possibly conjuring a gladius or the like. (I mention the gladius specifically because of its size and durability. There's probably better options, and Jane likely doesn't know the difference between a scimitar and a claymore, but just short sword for easy use would be good.)
Edit: Any material would work.
Blue_Elite 7th May 2018, 3:20 AM edit delete reply
Using sharp objects against creatures that spill damaging fluids at melee range is a very, very bad idea.
Bludgeons would work except Jane is one of the physically weakest party members.
Best to just stick with a gun.

We could... create bone boar spears for Caius to use. They're specifically intended to keep your opponent from moving up the spear to you, and as we can effectively create infinite amounts of them, we can just pass more and more to him as they get melted by acid.
We can have Elizabeth/Dr. Finch look up schematics online if necessary.
PurpleKetchup 7th May 2018, 4:03 AM edit delete reply
Michelle would be great at Dead Space. Booting dead stuff into deader stuff is the best way to stay alive (and kicking).

Anyway, some biochem advice - bit late, maybe: keratin is highly resistant to hydrochloric acid (the stuff we use to partially digest food). However, much stronger acids exist.
A specifically-designed creature/machine could store components separately, then produce and spray corrosive death on demand with minimal damage to itself.
So... best defense is not getting sprayed on, rather than relying on static armour. Failing that, just make the bone+keratin plates thicker.
Ablaze 7th May 2018, 6:21 AM edit delete reply
Humans create acids for digestion. So you should be able to produce acids within the red. Since you made it, you should be able to control it. Perhaps you could "blood" the acid based creatures using stomach acid?
PurpleKetchup 7th May 2018, 6:31 AM edit delete reply
Worth a shot...
Madd 7th May 2018, 9:13 AM edit delete reply
We'll need some weapons Jane's blood gun might not be useful this time.

A Keratin coated sword or maybe converting the blood from the gun into something harder while it's in flight?

Anyways we could make explosive balls from the Red.

Test everything with Red globs before touching it.

IF the meat walls can't attack us then we should go investigate everything in the room.
Hambone 7th May 2018, 10:17 AM edit delete reply
I wanted to suggest just breaking it, but the fact that I didn't made it so much better when it happened.
ReikoLupus 7th May 2018, 10:36 AM edit delete reply
Making bone lances covered with kerating sounds like a good idea XD. And for Caius, a damn halberd XD.

I wonder if we can provide purified water through a portal.
I wonder if we can provide high pressure purified water through a portal.
I wonder if we an provide a confined, focused stream of high pressure purified water with freedom to move it around as a water jet cutter by using a portal.

I suppose another liquid would be ok too if it works.
PurpleKetchup 7th May 2018, 12:42 PM edit delete reply
Pressurised blood would work about as well as abrasive-less water.
