You (gently) hug Caius, and Jury. She doesn't give you a very warm hug, but she does hug you back. You ask how she's feeling.

"Disoriented, mostly," she replies. "Still working on what I'm going to tell my superiors--informing them that Detective Shaw betrayed us, only to get double betrayed by the Queen pushers is fine and all, but they're going to wonder where I've been. I'm hoping if I tell them I was damaged and had to lay low while I repaired myself, they won't press too hard for details. I'm good at lying, I'm just bad at coming up with lies."

You ask Jury if she knows anything about Edison.

"Not much," she says. "I've had plenty of time the last few decades to dig into Zone Fifty's various science projects. I knew they'd messed around with the idea of capturing ghosts--ectocontainment, incorporeal detection, things like that--but I didn't think it'd gone anywhere. Zone Fifty had a lot of dead ends, and put out a lot of fake reports when they shut down. I'd filed ghost science away with the bigfoots, fishmen, and cattle mutilations."

You ask Jury if she'd like a needle full of your blood--just in case, since it can undo the effects of Save the Queen.

"Thanks, but no thanks. It's gonna be a tough sell already--I don't need them catching me with a syringe of mysterious blood. Anyway, thank you--for everything. Fuse put a lot of info on a drive for me, so hopefully... if everything goes well, I can take care of Carpenter from my end."

Jury shakes your hand, thanks everyone again, and heads out.

Michelle volunteers to bring food to the gas mask guy, and to find out what she can from him. She heads back to Bunker D.

You eat, re-up painkiller effects as necessary, and check up on the news in the city. People from the middle tiers have started protesting in earnest Theodore Reigns' contact with Southern Pass. Reigns' news network is downplaying the protests--almost pretending they're not happening--while bringing in 'experts' to talk about why the city needs a stronger police force with fewer limitations. A couple of news sites off handedly mention a fire at an old power plant--it may be arson, or the plant might have just been old and poorly regulated. No one believes there's any risk of radiation making its way above the lower tiers, so no one's too concerned about it.

There's a few vague mentions of the school, but it's mostly lumped in with a general call for reform and repair of the Tobu-impacted sections of the city. Vagrants have taken up inhabiting some of the damaged and abandoned real estate, leading to more frequent drug deals, arson, assaults, and occasionally even murders in the middle tiers. It's affecting the quality of life (and property value) of what were once "good neighborhoods."

Nothing is said about the hospital.

Other than that, nothing too unusual is being reported.

Whelp, hug a robot is off our bucket list now.

Unless any events pop-up, I was thinking of today being a "lick wounds" day. Caius needs to rest up, we need to look into cybernetics for Fuse's leg, and we really need to get started on learning/training on what to do about Nil. I assume that'll entail forced sync practice.
So unless we're needed for looking up cybernetics, ask mom's Red about how to possibly deal with Nil and combat while in a forced sync.
Our Red can join in if she has any input on the matter as well.

Check in on Michelle, see what gasmask was all about.

If we do spend the day generally on the down low (getting Fuse a cybernetic kegleg sounds good) we should also look into burying Dr. Camp's body on Mars. If Dr Finch is up for getting another space suit he can join Blondie and maybe they could explore?

But yeah, deal with Gasmask first.

A keg? That seems unnecessary.

PFFFT gosh darnit, sleepily typing on my phone the instant I wake up has its moments XD

I don't know, a cybernetic keg sounds pretty awesome. Like a beer-dispenser hat but actually connected to you so you can be smashed 24/7. :3

If we want to explore Mars, we should probably make a Sanguine Mk. II to send in the mine cart thing. It would be rather bad for us to go ourselves and then realize that the rail has collapsed partway though...

Lay low, look into getting heavy weaponry and a leg for Fuse.

Michelle gets to interview our hostage further and determine to blood him or not.

Also explore Mars sometime.

If Jury's not good at coming up with lies, we should help her come up with one that she can deliver convincingly. Her cell phone was taken, she had to repair herself before she could move from her hiding place, that all sounds good. We should help her come up with an idea for *where* she hid, in case they ask-- maybe a maintenance closet somewhere abandoned? She also might want to start carrying a small tool set on her person, saying that she wants to be able to fix herself more quickly if she ever gets damaged again, to reinforce the idea that she really didn't want to be stuck for so long.

The other thing I can see being an issue is the identity of her attacker, and whether she managed to kill the attacker (in which case, what happened to the body?) or drive them off (in which case, they might decide to look for this person-- which could be a problem if they don't really exist). I'm thinking maybe they say the person ran off after thinking they had dealt a mortal wound, or what *would* be a mortal wound to a human at least.

i was just thinking... we hacked this door with a pile of scrap. maybe, since there's a group of evil fugitive hackers after us now, it would be a good idea to see about reinforcing the security on the lock that leads to the place we are living?

This. So much this. Preferably with better than Fuse can easily hack.

"I'm hoping if I tell them I was damaged and had to lay low while I repaired myself, they won't press too hard for details."

I remember Zero made that excuse in one of the Megaman X games, despite it being about as damaged as Jury was in the previous game. His friends didn't really question it, and the narrative never explained it. XD
