Michelle helps you haul Caius to the infirmary of the Mars bunker. Fuse stays behind to get Dr. Finch, and send him that way, as well. Once you have Caius laid out, Michelle goes back to take care of the man in the gas mask still stashed in the back of the hummer. Dr. Finch arrives with more medical supplies from Bunker A.

While Dr. Finch gets the bio printer up and running, you continue trying to stabilize Caius. You begin giving him a blood transfusion, and tending more carefully to his wounds. You focus your powers on getting his body to start healing, and getting his blood pressure back to normal. There's mild blistering at the surface of his wounds--likely a byproduct of radiation exposure. You mention it to Dr. Finch.

"He may be bleeding more due to the radiation, as well," Dr. Finch states. "It doesn't sound like he was exposed for very long, but with an open wound like that... aplastic anemia is a genuine risk. Reduced white blood cell count and fewer platelets complicate the healing process, and--"

Dr. Finch pauses. He adjusts his glasses.

"...Depending on how much radiation he was exposed to in that brief period, there may be gastrointestinal complications, as well... even direct DNA damage."

Heeding Dr. Finch's words, you start driving Caius's body to produce more white blood cells and platelets. You also steer your blood to act like an antibiotic to try and fight off possible infection. It is an immense amount of work trying to juggle the tasks, but it becomes slightly easier once Dr. Finch begins bioprinting blood in Caius's type.

You get Caius... stable, more or less. He's not immediately dying, but his body is still having a great deal of trouble catching up--keeping him in decent condition will require consistent attention from you. You do not suspect you can draw your attention away from him for too long without his situation worsening.

Ah right, we should consult Jane's Mom's Red about this mind body transfer magic stuff.
Though the whole process is probably similar to syncing Caius's abilities to some one else... just that in this case we're syncing his entire being into a clone body instead of just part of him.

Aww poor Caius :C look at him...

Right, let's get Fuse working on looking up that magic stuff while we keep Caius stable. He can ask MomRed about it, too.

Oh man, Caius. We're going to do what we can do.

Dr. Finch, tend to Fuse's leg maybe? I mean he's not as desperate as Caius but he got shot, too.

Let's ask the others (Michelle at the helm) to help get Caius's clone from the address Macland gave us, and in the meantime, like Xylas suggested maybe ask Dr. Finch to help discuss this whole thing with Mom's Red.

Caius, we got you.

(Also, thank you just stashing Gasmask away, that helps soothe me lol)

see if we can get someone to track down a copy of the book fuse mentioned once we're in a situation where everyone is in good enough condition that we can start delegating tasks again. depending on the condition of fuse's leg, michelle might end up having to do most of our running around for us. as for what to do with caius, i think the surgery option might be our best bet. if dr. finch thinks it's doable then it's probably our best option. but, let's look into the magic side for shiggles because that's a skillset that might be fun to have.

Hmm, we must keep him alive. Lets keep tending to him, but we should try to copy is brain somehow. Maybe zone 59 has tried consciousness transfer at some point. Since they do have space warping and time travel who know what else there is.

Send someone to check on the Proto-juries and see if they could help/ see how far they've gotten with Jury.

Could we freeze Caius and revive him once we have the clone.

When Nil said soon could he have been referring to Caius' expiration date so to speak? I wonder if he could have been twisting his words to make it seem like Caius was going to die sooner than expected, but he only said soon which could be in relation to the average lifespan of a human which by today's standards is about 70 years, so I'd say 1/7 of the lifespan could be defined as soon
