Morgenstern
You painkiller Caius, and start moving the bloodied bandages down to around the man's legs. Caius and the man continue to fight over the shotgun, with Caius slowly succumbing to repeated punches from your foe's augmented arms. Michelle picks the dented barrel back up and begins to slam it, over and over, into the figure's back. You start to tighten the bandages around his legs, but he quickly breaks out of them, splitting the bandages in half.

He headbutts Caius, causing Caius to stumble back. He quickly twists the shotgun around. With a yell, Michelle brings the barrel down hard... hard enough to break it open, spilling toxic waste all over the cyborg. It disrupts his shot, but he still gets it off--a spray of lead catching Caius in the side of the stomach. You increase Caius' painkiller dosage, and both he and Michelle lunge forward, grabbing the enhanced man. They start trying to shove him over the railing on the side of the bridge.

Even with the toxic sludge eating away at his body, the man is still incredibly strong. Michelle and Caius just barely manage to shove him over the rails, but he holds firmly onto Caius--it becomes an entirely different struggle, with Michelle struggling to keep Caius on the bridge, while the cyborg tries to drag Caius down into the fire with him.

The door that leads downstairs swings open. Men in red start to rush out, but Fuse lights the first one he sees on fire. It manages to hold them back for a moment, with the one leading the charge flailing, screaming, and stumbling back through the doorway.

You take control of the small amount of blood you have inside the cyborg's body and you move it to his heart. You then stop the blood from moving, holding it in place... and you start gellifying it, turning it into a proper clot. This, in turn, provokes a heart attack.

The man doesn't die instantly, but it does begin to kill him very quickly. He relinquishes his grip on Caius, and tumbles into the inferno below.

Caius, Michelle, and Fuse make a run for the door as men in red spill out, opening fire with pistols. One of them catches Fuse in the back of the leg, but Michelle catches him as he stumbles, dragging him out the door and helping to load him into the hummer. Once everyone's in the vehicle, you floor it, getting out of there as quickly as you can.

The men in red flood out, at least five of them all firing at the back of your hummer, but none of their rounds manage to deal any damage.

Oh.... guess not. Looks like I posted right as you updated. D: Oh man, Jane's gonna be a wreck, she just actually killed someone for the first time. ;~;

Okay, no time for that now though. Nurse, emergency triage on Caius, then Fuse, stat!

Well there's a very high chance his brain was not in his body so we don't exactly know if she killed someone.

Speaking of that, We should ask finch how likely had was remote controlling his body.
Blue_Elite 15th Dec 2017, 12:32 AM edit delete reply
Well, technically we killed Prophet.

We also did the mercy kill on Deaglan Camp.

This isn't even taking into account the many, many people/animals we've been accessories to killing either via our actions or by our allies.
I mean, I'm not saying we shouldn't feel bad about it but I wouldn't lose any sleep over the matter.

Fear(combined with preexisting health conditions) killed Prophet. We would have but his own fear did him in before we could.

Poetic justice 'n all that.

DAMAGE CONTROL TIME.

perform emergency first aid to the extent that we can in the back of a humvee. slow down bleeding, make sure no one's nicked an artery, apply pressure and bandages. drive around as long as we can safely and make sure we aren't followed, then high-tail it back to the bunker. try stashing the hummer somewhere maybe in a ruined building, it's pretty recognizable. tell finch we have injuries. and... a prisoner, interestingly enough. i vote locking him in the office on mars that we found when we were first exploring. we should go there anyways since it has more adequate space for performing medical procedures than the lab does.

Oh man. *clutches heart, panting* That was intense. >___>

We still have a random guy in the back who may or may not be queened, so please have Michelle keep an eye on him and tie him up or something. And maybe blindfold the guy? Don't want him to somehow show Thale where we're at, if it turns out he's queened. Or we could just blood him to save ourselves the trouble, I dunno.

In the meantime we should probably floor it and give Caius and Fuse first-aid - we probably need to help slow the bleeding with our powers as well. Ask Dr. Finch to prep for surgery back at the bunker for them?

This is going to be a rough night.
Blue_Elite 15th Dec 2017, 12:38 AM edit delete reply
Definitely blood GasMask if possible. If Thale can perceive through people like we can, we essentially have yet ANOTHER tracker with us. Unless we're going to dump him out, we really, really don't want to take the chance of Thale finding out either where our bunker is or even the entrance to it.

On the plus side, it'll also mean interrogating will be much easier. I'd still like to try the nice route and just ask him for info (maybe like Fuse, being broken from Queen's control will make him a decent person). But in case that doesn't work, we can then go the brute-force route.

EDIT: Changed "bleed" to "blood". I'm getting kinda confused how to past/present/future-tense our ability. Sorta like how Ghostbusters made, "slime" a verb.

Well, time to get the fuck out of there.
Hide the hummer somewhere, we might need it again and we can't have them finding our bunker.

Recover our injured and find our next target. Also lets see if we can get our tube people some bigger guns sometime.

While were at it lets see if we can get a source of income. Maybe we start a business selling...something.

Also could we make a blood mech out of concrete and stuff? we should make more blood golems of course.

Don’t, you, dare, simply call Caius and Michelle, ‘Tube people’
Wierdweblurker 15th Dec 2017, 1:19 AM edit delete reply
I do believe the proper term is 'heavy hitters'.
But yes, I do believe we need to find another target. A nice walk on Mars, maybe?
Also, let's get a crow's-eye view of the city. We just burned a major drug operation (and a major supplier of StQ) to the ground. Thale may have a response to that.

After patching everyone up as able and blooding Blacky return to the bunker.
Check everyone for radiation levels as possible, scrub the suits, Contain the mushroo, and perform some analysis on it. Then sleep and recover.
