Morgenstern
He draws nearer. You wait.

He has an odd gait, stiff and deliberate. It reminds you of someone trying to walk after their leg has fallen asleep.

You maneuver your drone around the crates, letting the man pass... and then you lean out, throwing a syringe at the back of his neck. It sticks, and you inject the blood into his body. You tell him to stop--

but he doesn't.

Your recent experience with neurons and electrical signals gives you a much more profound idea of what's going on. The signal is being sent to his brain, but not reaching its destination. It's like his brain isn't even there. You feel the message hitting something, but it's not reception by his neural network... it's being filtered out, somehow.

He turns back. You attempt to hide your drone again, but the cobbled together debris and twine and blood is far from quick. He finds you quickly, firing his shotgun blast almost point blank at your drone. Your camera golem shatters, its part scattering across the bridge. The man steps on what remains of your camera, just to be certain.

You have blood inside him, but you do not have control.

His brain isn't even there.

Uh....

-v-a ......

Well, better tell our friends (and Dr. Finch) and try to suss out what's going on here. I think the guy is gonna be on super high alert now, which maaay not be in our favour.

Okay he's being controlled himself is my guess. Either we back off now, cause his controller knows we're here now, or we go into full-on assault mode. I highly suggest against the latter.

We can easily locate him now though, right?

He's got to have something in his head, or his body would stop functioning right. Cyber-brain?

He has blood. That means he can bleed. That means that we can kill him if need be.

Also noooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo!!! Not Sanguine!
Guost 9th Dec 2017, 9:49 PM edit delete reply
We probably weren't getting it back anyway, too irradiated.

Weaponize your regeneration ability. Make him grow unnecessary body parts to disable/immobilize him.

Well, this is getting unnecessarily rash.

Haste makes waste, ya know.

Get in, get the lone odd mushroom contained, dump the canister over the edge, leave. Come back to this later as we're not going to be doing much more here and we can check on this guy whenever now.

Can we still perceive through him even though we can't control him? It'd still be good to watch and, if he returns to his... shanty(?), see if there's a security system in there.

Otherwise we need to have a group discuss about this turn of events. If he's immune to our blood, this MIGHT be a way to disable Queen as well! Also mention the drugs we found, just in case the steroids and/or ultraprex might be the cause (I'm assuming painkiller wouldn't do anything).
skybirds15 9th Dec 2017, 10:37 PM edit delete reply
We definitely need to see if ultraprex is the cause. Steroids I don't think work like that, but considering how cybernetics are probably wired to the nervous system, the ultraprex might be stopping the signal somehow, perhaps to stop leg malfunctions from screwing with the brain.

Probably some sort of cyber brain. Not enough blood to control it. Can we have our blood reproduce faster in him to fill in his cybernetics?
Twyll 9th Dec 2017, 11:18 PM edit delete reply
Welp, time to ask Dr. Finch what he thinks could be doing this. Also Fuse, he might know about ultraprex.

He's not a zombie, he's probably got a cybernetic brain what with all this mind control going around, theoretically an electronic brain would still send electric signals like a meat brain, soo maybe if we try really hard? It'll probably be a lot more hands on though
