You examine the mine cart more thoroughly.

It's not your field of expertise, per se, but it seems to be operational. The engine comes on, and the interface functions, when you mess with it. For now, you leave it and head back into the bunker.

You explain everything you saw out there. You suggest maybe adding additional limbs to your camera golem, and either taking it with you to investigate the Mars mine, or just sending the robot on its own. Trying to patch up a second suit could also be an option, so two people could check the mine out.

"I am certainly interested," Dr. Finch says. "To walk on Mars would be the envy of any scientist on its own, but to find out more about their operations here is more intriguing still."

"Much as I like seein' Finch get all hyped up like this," Michelle comments, "we might wanna put it on the back burner for now. We got plenty to do, and we still got no idea what Thale's up to with Howler. I don't want us to get caught with our pants down."

Fuse nods in agreement. "I mean, we could probably split the difference... I don't picture Dr. Finch going with us to bust the mushroom guy, so maybe he could work on giving the robot tiny arms, or figuring out how to get another space suit working."

"Plus, we still gotta bury Deaglan," Caius says. "I don't want us gettin' haunted by plant ghosts."

"F'real, we've had enough ghosts already," Michelle says with a grim chuckle. "If he's got family buried somewhere, we can figure out how to put 'em with them... otherwise, we're diggin' a hole on Mars. I'd put all that above checkin' out the mines."

Dr. Finch sighs. "Yes, yes... I suppose you all are right. Indulging my curiosity may have to take a back seat for the moment."

Yeeeessss little arms for Sanguine! I am pleased, Morgenstern.

Mmm, yeah.

It's good to know the space suit works :)

I'd say Dr. Finch could definitely be put on space suit procurement + tiny robot arms duty for now.

The rest of us can look into Deaglan's family real quick, and also check in on the PJs. If Jury's still not put together, oh vey.

I'd like to suggest we scope out that shroomie guy's power station with a raven before we decide how best to approach it. It's an all-hands-on-deck mission, I think - minus Dr. Finch though, I suppose. Our goal should be to get the info we need to shut one of StQ's vital components down at its source; if the power station isn't where it's at, the guy should know where it's happening, yeah?

EDIT: Also, hyper Dr. Finch is so fun and adorable. XD

Arms! For! Sanguine! Arms! For! Sanguine!

Let's give our little golem buddy some arms, and Finch and Sanguine can check out the cavern on their own time. If Finch attatches arms quickly enough, he could probably try and patch up another suit, too! Just in case, y'know?

Sounds like we're going to let Dr. Finch do his thing while we get ready to do the shroomie showdown.

Also maybe lunch/dinner. I understand we woke up late but everyone else might be hungry.

Won't need anything fancy for the little Golem.
Just needs something it can poke/hold things with.

A note to remember: if Jane intends to bring a blooded-construct outside, her blood has to be wrapped air-tight in strong enough materials.
Any Earth-originating liquid exposed to low Martian surface atmospheric pressure degasses rather violenty, and most follow by evaporating entirely.

Except that the blood is already pretty crazy, by earth standards. If the mars blood was hardy enough to be able to at least remain in a resuscitate-able state for who-knows-how-long on mars, it stands to reason that Jane's could handle it, at least for a while. Heck, IIRC, her mom was able to travel between planets without a spaceship or anything; Jane's blood being able to survive mars's conditions wouldn't be unreasonable, considering it's the most alien part of her.
