Morgenstern
You have your golem nudge it harder.

No response.

You creep toward the door, cautiously calling out to the plant man.

It makes a... different kind of noise? It exhales a definite syllable, but it's hard to understand what it's trying to say--or if it's really trying to say anything at all.

I'm thinking... approach very cautiously, with Caius with us?

This had better not be a trap -____-

Without coming into contact with anything, peer into the broken canister, might be some clues there. Also take pictures of everything (see previous)

Is there any way to write or record the sounds it's making? I'm going to guess with its respiration rate it'll have to painfully sound out anything and everything it says.
Recording device would allow us to try and playback a sped up version of whatever it says. We may even want to bring in Dr. Finch at this point, so long as the hallway stays safe.
Unless anyone else has a better idea for how we could communicate with it (keeping in mind blooding does not give us mind-reading abilities).

Otherwise I wouldn't go too close. After the Bunker C incident (and pretty much EVERYTHING having to do with Section Z50) I would not trust the sanity/hospitality of Mr. Greene Thumb there.

We do have a camera, should work pretty well for recording.

Just don't fall for the old 'I can't speak up so please get closer to my hungry mouth' trick. Jane got extra strong hearing - she can hear your whispers just fine.
From far away.

Just sidestep the whole "verbal communication" thing and get him in on the telepathy network. Needle him up.

Why would we want too? If it's evil it permanently becomes apart of Jane
Twyll 2nd Dec 2017, 12:01 PM edit delete reply
We've already got Macland, I doubt a plant man could be much worse :P And Macland didn't seem to infect us with evil. (Unless you count Nil, but that's an entirely different story XD)

I second the blooding. Guy appears obvious trapped, if anything, we might be able to fix what's wrong with him.

How about not shoving blood/weapons in its face? If it is friendly, we don’t want another enemy. Let’s try to have a conversation first. Get just a little closer. If it seems hostile, either blood it up or threaten it with a gun/fire. Inspect the canister(s). See if we can get closer to the computer.
BunnyMuffin 2nd Dec 2017, 7:27 AM edit delete reply
However, does anyone remember in 536 when we were informed that we shouldn’t be here? Maybe this was the reason... Proceed cautiously!

Uhm, yes, that was the ERROR room, what happens when you mess with the door -- open it from the wrong side while it warps someone else (if I'm wrong on how it works, please do correct me, I didn't spend time studying the door lol). Not the plant room. This is where there's a plantman and a computer, no backwards ERROR on the walls and no blood-stained Jane, different door and nobody being told to mess with the warp.

actually, we were informed we shouldn’t be in the error room. error jane didn’t say anything about this.
skybirds15 2nd Dec 2017, 4:02 PM edit delete reply
The error room was a sort of spatial anomaly catch-all, it's where you go when there should be something there but a space anomaly took what should be there somewhere else. If Caius or someone went in there, they would probably be in there instead.

maybe let’s not blood it. blooding lets us communicate telepathically with other people but for them to reply they have to speak out loud so it’s not going to do us any good. also, there’s a chance that the fake blood in this could react badly to jane’s real blood and i don’t feel like dealing with plant lasker. i think perhaps we should go and get dr. finch if he’s not busy. he might have an opinion on what to do.

I second this, let’s get Finch to see what his opinion would be, or sync with him? Whichever seems the better choice.

If we could create a Lasker it would've happened the first time we've blooded somebody who was on queen.

Approach planty with Caius, keeping the desk between us and the plant man.

We're not getting anywhere fast with the wallflower. Maybe the computer can tell us something useful if it's not too overrun with greenery to work.
