You consider blooding a flower and sending it into the vine room. However, without conventional senses, you don't suspect you'd be able to get much out of a flower. It wouldn't be much better than controlling an inanimate object.

While Fuse works on the wiring, you ask him about getting a cheap camera.

"Oh, yeah," Fuse says. "If we end up making a run to the lower tiers, I can definitely get us some small cameras. I can get you a hell of a deal on a flatscreen, too."

"How much do cameras normally cost? Like, from a store?," Michelle asks.

"Not really that much," Fuse replies. "Not as much as they used to. It might still be a bit much for the sort of thing we'd use a camera for, though. I think filling a camera with blood voids the warranty."

Fuse finishes fixing the wires.

I was going to say: I don't know how good our blood thing will be with intricate technology. We MIGHT be able to fix damage we do during the sanguination, but rule-of-thumb is not to totally fill electronics with liquid.

We're able to hack computers without shorting them out by bleeding into them.
Hopefully because a camera works very similarly to a human eye we can get around the programming/data barrier and not sync with Fuse to see through the camera.

Problem is, that only worked when melding with Fuse, and we're trying to avoid too much melding.

Should get two cameras at least. More if they happen to be surprisingly cheap.

If the camera still works after being blooded, we have a spare camera and the blood golem can commence.

If it doesn't, we can still have the bandages take the other camera in to take pictures. Won't get as good a look, but what can ya do.

If we've got a syringe (and I'm assuming we pretty much always do) should we (carefully) get a blood sample from the plant on the way out sense it seems like we'll have to come back anyway?

It'll make a world of difference if Dr. Finch can determine if the plant's blood supply is its own rather than freaky Mars alien blood.
On that note (and before doing that) did Fuse exhaust the information the computer this place has? If we can find ANY info on a plant with red blood it'd probably help a lot.

Heya! I was wondering if I may mirror this on MSPFA? I'd make a couple of edits, but the credit would still go to you. I'd just be mirrorer. The dialogue would change to a more MSPA-like style. I'm just asking permission before I go ahead and do it.

I'm sort of curious what the edits and dialogue changes would entail. I'd also definitely need a link back, in addition to credit.

The dialogue change would be, instead of Fuse said "this", then Michelle replies with "that", it would be:
FUSE: this.
That's the only edit.
And I'll get you the link once I actually start mirroring.
Morgenstern 29th Oct 2017, 8:04 PM edit delete reply
That, sure, but I'd definitely want to see a link to this site on the mirror.

Actually, due to MSPFA's auto-bolding, bold text will now be underlined. Jane will now have lines. And I just realized what you meant by link back, so I put it in, but if you are curious as to what it looks like, here!

Whoops! Ninja'd. I didn't know you had posted that comment, so, when I reloaded to see, there it was! Heh.
Morgenstern 29th Oct 2017, 8:20 PM edit delete reply
I'm not... entirely sure I get why, and good luck writing lines for Jane (there's more than a few sections where she gives pretty lengthy explanations or recaps to characters without real dialogue), but otherwise I... guess I don't see the harm...?

I put a few participation replies into the comments of the mirror site.

Seeing through a flower would be weird... every cell of a plant is photo-reactive meaning it could potentially "see", just isn't connected to a nervous system to analyze it (which the blood would do). A plant would probably give amazing surround vision, but might be sensory overload.
