You check the vents in this room. The fans are spinning--you suspect that they connect to two of the vents in the front room.

You get in touch with Michelle and Caius. You ask Michelle if she knows about any sort of headquarters or main base of Southern Pass.

"They got a public HQ," she says, "but it's like... an office building, where their accountin' an' stuff gets done. Far as armories or anything real goes... we could do some diggin', but I bet it's a well kept secret."

You arrange for Caius to come into Bunker D, and have Michelle cut the door off again so he can join you in the ladder room. You explain the situation, and you start to make your way down the ladder... but when he sees you moving off balance, he stops you.

"I got this. Just keep tabs on me."

Caius makes his way down the ladder.

Then, I'd have to say diggin' sounds like a thing that needs to be done, Michelle. 'sides... if we play our cards right, we won't have to worry as much about the whole 'funding a small army' thing, hah.

Anyways, ah. Glad to see Caius is volunteering for this. Still definitely gonna need to take our time to adjust, given our current state. In any case, ah... Huh. Is that blood, rust, or dying plant matter? I honestly can't tell just by lookin'. Either way, I kinda want to check what's on the left, first. Just... be careful, man.

Yes, let's do as much digging as we can. Maybe we should have Lydia look into it, too, since I imagine she has contacts and ways of searching that we don't. And we should probably also ask Grizwald.

We should also let those two know about what we know about the ingredients of StQ, because I bet they'd be able to help with pinpointing where it's made, too.

Also, Blood is Drawn updated. I made a link on the side, but I figured I'd mention it anyway~

Ah, yes! I saw. It's really neat to see the first chapter put to drawings. To be honest, it makes me pretty excited to see how the bio-printed abominations'll look, once we get to 'em.

Thanks Akasha! :D

Re: bio-printed monstrosities, I'll do my best -v-)/ (fair warning though, they may just all end up looking cute XD)
Blue_Elite 24th Oct 2017, 8:44 PM edit delete reply
Cute is just insanity taken the other direction. That's how you get pink, fuzzy bears that hug you to death or happy little rabbits covered in blood and wielding chainsaws. >:3

That reminds me... there is actually a Pokemon whose Dex entry states it crushes people to death with it's hugs.
Like Lennie from Mice and Men.

uhhhhh how about we don’t go through the bloody vine door? that seems, to me, like a bad idea. like, a monumentally bad idea. being down here at all is probably a bad idea.
Twyll 24th Oct 2017, 8:33 PM edit delete reply
Yeah maybe let's go through the right door first, and seriously consider the idea of sending a critter or a camera-equipped RC car through the left one.
Steve 24th Oct 2017, 9:22 PM edit delete reply
We're going to go through it eventually, If all else fails, we run the freak away, and have Michelle open the door to get us out of here... also, what happens if we open the door while the door is keyed in to this location?
Steve 24th Oct 2017, 9:23 PM edit delete reply
In my opinion, being on Mars right now is the worst idea ever, but here we are.

Am I the only one who thinks we should NOT go into the weird blood plant door thing? :'D I mean, is there some weird bloody plant monster thing on its way out of the door or what? I can't tell but it's terrifying and I want Caius to nope right back up that ladder if that's the case XD;;;;;; Though Akasha's right, it's a bit hard to tell if it's blood or rust or what 'till we inspect it. Caius, please, be very careful and ready to hop right back up if necessary.

I mean, that plant door thing looks like it could eat Caius. >__>
Akasha 24th Oct 2017, 8:15 PM edit delete reply
Yeah, while I don't exactly mind heading on through, it's probably for the best to actually examine the odd splotches, first. And if it happens to be dried blood, then yeah, no objections to noping away from there and checking out the room on the right, instead. Or just heading back up. Whichever works better, really.
Blue_Elite 24th Oct 2017, 8:51 PM edit delete reply
Given it's only on the plant-material and none of the actual metal places, I'm going make the logical assumption it's raspberry jam. :3
On the off-chance there is a raspberry-jam-eating monster on that side that'll only start chasing us if we get its attention, I'd rather inspect the other non-jam room first.

I'm assuming there's enough light that we can keep a physical eye out from above if anything comes out. Though on that note I'd tell Michelle to grab a weapon and be ready to do some quick card-swapping just in case.

If a tentacle plant has been contaminated with the enemy Red before growing for a hundred years, I don't want to know how much pain we're heading into.
We need to test injecting the plants in the base with Jane's Red first.

Do not send Caius in there, please. Retreat.

We need one of those big exclamation marks with a sound-file attached like in Metal Gear Solid.

It would definitely have fired off here.

I'm starting to wonder what would happen if we reconnect the door to bunker D but open it from this side
PurpleKetchup 24th Oct 2017, 11:56 PM edit delete reply
Probably end up on the other side of the original door on Earth.
