You fix a note to your rat, saying that the rat is not going to chew on any wires or cause any damage. It also explains that the note is being sent by someone outside the bunker, and asks if the androids need anything. It also states the androids can talk to the rat, and you will be able to hear them through said rat.

You send the rat into Bunker B, back into the room where the Juries were.

"THE RODENT HaS RETURNED," one says.

"SA-SA-SAME RODENT?"

"IT IS THE SAME ROdENT."

They lean down to read the note.

"CONFIRMING. LACKING SUPPLIES FOR REPAIR AND MAINTENANCE OF ZONE ZONE ZONE FIFTY SITE SEV-EVENTEEN."

"AND FOR THE REPAIR AND MaINTENANCE OF THE STAFF OF ZONE FiFTY SITE SEVENTEEN."

"A MAJORITY OF THE STAFF OF ZONE FIFTY SITE SEVENTEEN HAVE BEEN DISASSEMBLED FOR THE UPKEEP OF THE MORE FUNCTIONING FUNCTIONING STAFF MEMBERS. THE SITE IS RUNNING OUT OF STAFF MEMBERS."

"THIS UNIT DEePLY REGRETS THE DISASSEMBLY OF PREVIOUS STaFF MEMBERS."

"THE ST-STAFF OF ZONE FIFTY SITE SEVENTEEN ARE NOT PROGRAMMED TO EMULATE REGRET. STOP SAYING THAT. STOP SAYING THAT. STOP SAYING THAT. THANK YOU FOR YOUR COOPERATION."

Send another note! Apologize for the loss of the other robots, and ask what it is they need so we can send it.

Also maybe tell them that it's perfectly fine for them to feel regret.

A a parts configuration request with estimated cereal* numbers of the components would be handy.

We can either ask the units for them, or probably ask Jury about what they'd need to be repaired if their parts list is obsolete (as Jury would clearly have been aware of viable substitutes etc).

*(NO it's spelled Serial! Dum self! BAD! No wait... mayhaps I'm hungry?)

Alright, guess it's time to send a reply asking what parts/materials they need.

If we can slip in a question about "what is your actual task here" in a way that implies "what's in the holding tube things?", that'd be ideal :P Cuz that's probably good to know. But if we can phrase it in a way that seems like we want to know so we can help get the right parts, that would probably be less likely to trigger whatever kinds of infosec tendencies they might have programmed into them.

Also, I guess Fuse would be the one to ask about this really, but for now we can at least ask Michelle and Caius if they have any ideas regarding where we can get spare robbit parts, or at least sufficiently workable scrap.

Also, for future communications, would it be possible to have our rat tap out binary or something with its paws? So that we can answer without having to send notes in and out. ...Alternatively, we can just ask if it's okay for some human(oid)s to stop by to chat about material requisitions.

Okay, one unit is either in denial about her own regret or is dangerously attached to protocol, maybe both.

Aww. There is a sad story here. ;v;*

I wonder... if they're okay with it... maybe we could give them a glance over with Fuse after he's got his skin back on, to see if he has any ideas on how to maybe improve or tighten whatever might be jostled loose over the century of use here? I mean, it might be out of his depth... but then again, this is Fuse we're talking about, so he might be able to figure something out. Otherwise it does sound like the robots are capable of maintaining themselves, to an extent; they have the knowledge, but they may not have the parts anymore. Perhaps supplying them with said parts would be enough for them to be able to polish up their rusty systems a bit?

Agreed with asking what they might need, and if they're okay with people visiting the bunker. They can supervise us to make sure we don't do anything stupid. XD;

I want nothing to do with this place... but at the same time, feel that we need to help these two. Let's patch them up if we can, get them the parts they need if we can, then let them do what they do, and NEVER TALK ABOUT THIS PLACE AGAIN!

Robots need hugs. Parts and hugs.

Welp, this puts things in perspective.
Are they ok with us visiting ? We need to learn about them and what kind of parts they need for maintenance.

Also hugs.
