You make up an excuse about not being able to interact with phones--but you state it as though it's common knowledge at this point.

"Oh, yeah," the Michelle says.

"How could ya forget?," the Caius chuckles dryly.

You ask if she can just read the news to you.

She's fast.

Her free hand reaches her pistol. She draws it almost before you can react. You're granted a second--just a brief moment of hesitance from her--because the real Caius comes charging out of the kitchen, yelling at the top of his lungs.

Without a shirt, for some reason.

He runs at the fake Michelle, but is intercepted by the fake Caius, who tackles the real Caius onto the nearby table. The distraction buys you enough time to duck back into the hallway, just as the Michelle impersonator squeezes the trigger. The bullet cracks the doorframe but misses you.

You are now in the hall just outside the living room. The two Caiuses are fighting one another. You can hear the fake Michelle approaching, likely angling for a better shot.

I... I know this is deathly serious but oh my Lord when Caius came yelling shirtless into the room at the top of his lungs it just CRACKED ME UPPPPP XDDD

Okay, okay, we can't dawdle. Sync Caius's skills in (sorry to keep abusing the sync) and aim to disarm?

I don't remember if we have a syringe on hand; but if we do, keep it readied just in case. We should probably be careful about jabbing Fake-Michelle; but if we have to, we can find cover that forces Fake-Michelle to come in close enough to get a clear shot, or to ambush her.

Rufia's idea is probably a good one too, though I would like to be careful about syncing if we can. Either way; the right cover will force Fake-Michelle to close the distance between us, which means either 1. Jabbing distance, or 2. Disarming distance.

Did fake-caius steal real-caius's shirt???

Yes, I'm pretty sure that's what happened XD I was *just* stating to Mochi how weird it was they got the clothes so right... LOL now we know XD

I mean, I'm not entirely sure how they'd get Michelle's outfit down if they had to steal clothes; but if it was early enough that it was before Caius' wardrobe change, I suppose there'd be enough time to find the pieces to the outfit.

In Michelle's case, they had the chance to queen her through queened cops, plus get a look at her through hospital surveillance just the day before, so they actually did get a good look at her clothes. (Well, at least Carpenter and Thale did. Assuming they're sharing that info with Shirai, too.)

Caius, on the other hand, hasn't been near queened peeps ever since he went through his wardrobe change, so that's probably why they had no idea what he'd be wearing.

... I also want to think he's wearing a super special limited edition shirt, but that's just me being silly with my head-canon again XD

Yeah, that's true. My train of thought was they had to be watching the group somehow to have known certain lil details, but only up to a certain point; but I forgot about queened up folks n such. I was thinking like... covert spies. Don't ask, lol XD
