You ask Jury if she still has any of Dr. Finch's stuff.

"Some of his research I was able to hide around his lab," Jury says. "Most of it I had to get rid of, unfortunately."

You consider hugging Jury, but you're not too sure how she'd react to that, and you don't want her to think you're attacking her or something. You settle for a very warm handshake and a thank you, which prompts a stifled laugh out of Michelle. You also warn Jury that there's a number of ... recent bodies in the hospital, including one biomechanical monster of Carpenter's. You add that she should maybe avoid messing with the surveillance system, as Carpenter could still be tapped into it. Jury nods. You tell her you'll try to contact her if you find anything solid, and you all leave.

Michelle waits until you, her, and Caius are in the car to speak. "You wanted to hug her didn'tcha?" Caius, now realizing why Michelle was trying not to laugh, starts laughing himself.

You all head toward the address of the government bunker Jury mentioned. You arrive at... a door. The surrounding neighborhood is mostly debris--the door looks like it was attached to a building, once, but is now standing triumphant amid a pile of rubble.

"Guess it had a bad day when tha hack happened," Caius speculates.

You all approach the door, and the various piles of brick and metal around it. Though the door is rusted and damaged, the small device attached to the door is still lit up. It doesn't appear to be hooked to anything, it's just... part of the door.

"You feel that?," Michelle asks. She waves a hand around and behind the door. "It don't feel right."

You and Caius do the same.

It is just a stationary door, and you can walk all the way around it. It is not part of a building anymore.

However, when you get very close to the door--especially behind it--you get a strange sensation, almost like a tingling or a warmth.

You take a closer look at the device on the door. It looks like a very high tech lock, with a keypad, a card slide, and a place for a fingerprint.

"It's old, but it's thorough," Michelle says. "That's a military grade lock, for sure."

She jiggles the door a little. The frame is sturdy, the door standing much firmer than you'd suspect for it just... standing there on its own, and being as old and worn as it is. The electronic lock is, in fact, keeping the door shut.

You, Caius, and Michelle just stare at it for a bit. Caius finally breaks the silence. "S'gonna be weird, idnit?"

Michelle grins and nods. "The door don't go nowhere... but the door goes somewhere."

God dam it, I was too slow to put my vote in and didn't get to hug Jury! AHHHH. Oh well you win some you lose some. But this door...this door looks like fun, Doctor Who level of fun and I would have said let's bleed into it but I don't think we will be able to understand it so... Let's ask Jury for the password?

the tobu hack. it affected large portions of the middle tiers, which is where this bunker is located.

The Tobu (almost said Toho) hack was the event that started this all off. Where the bio-printer in the hospital started making monsters and attacking things. Outside of the hospital the hack had a slightly different effect, and caused all machines made by the Tobu company to go berserk.

(if it had been Toho Things Might Have Gotten Strange.)

OUR NEW BASE IS A TARDIS!

dang, that's pretty rad, jury! thanks for the hookup!

i think we need to go fetch fuse and let him have a look at this thing, see if there's a way that he can bypass it normally. if not, we're probably going to have to blood it and sync and try to give it the old whammy.

i wonder if we need Fuse to hack things anymore... maybe, we've absorbed just enough of his knowledge via extended synching that we can bypass the need to synch with him to wammy hack computers.

and if all else fails, i vote we have Michelle use Caius as a battering ram.

having a functional lock like this on this place would be pretty baller imo, though. a functioning door is also good. once we're in i'm sure fuse could figure out how to set it up so we can create keys for it.

Or...lets just call Fuse and have him come over and try to open it
