You remember how cleantex worked well enough to imitate it still; you grant yourself a cleantex effect. You describe the reporter you saw in Macland's mind, and the location she was being kept in the pictures.

"I never seen her," Caius says, "but I bet I know where tha place is. There's a room in Mac's house that sounds just like that."

You mention that every time you've peeked in on Macland, he's been in a hotel room. You've never even seen his house.

"Well, yeah," Caius chuckles, "he was prob'ly scared of goin' home after all that at the bar. If Mac don't think he's safe at Elegance, then Mac don't think he's safe."

You all discuss the possibility of injecting as many people as possible--it would be the surest way to cut down Thale's influence.

"It would also be really messed up," Caius says. "There's a reason tha cops don't put cameras in everybody's homes."

"My main concern..." Fuse starts, "is that something could happen to you. Like, if you died--somehow--what happens to everybody with your blood? Does your blood freak out and we all turn into monsters? Does the control pass to someone else? What if someone figures out how to control you? Aside from the privacy concerns, there's too many weird factors at play. Too much that could go wrong for how little we know about... everything."

You all sit around for a while, and try to teach each other the basics of some of your specialties. Michelle gives tips on firing a gun, you talk about basic first aid, Caius explains a proper fighting stance and what to remember when defending yourself. Fuse... tries, but ultimately fails, to explain how hacking a computer works. "If I had one here it'd be easier. Maybe. It's... you kinda just have to know."

You are alerted to Dr. Finch waking up.

You check in on him--he is just beginning to stir. He is incredibly sore, even with the drugs they have him on. He starts to get up, only to discover that he's been restrained; leather straps bind his wrists and ankles.

We need to let Finch know what's going on. You know, where he is, what happened to MacLand, how Fuse and us synced too long...

Heh. I just realized. If we synced absolutely with Fuse, we'd be "Fused".

finch!! finch is awake!!

give him a little extra painkiller effect and tell him first and foremost that the rest of us are fine. we didn't get caught, or shot, we are all still breathing. tell him what happened -- that we weren't really left with much choice other than to let the feds take him, but we know where he is, and we want to try and get him back once we know more about what we're dealing with.

also, tell him we miss him and try to communicate the feeling of being hugged really, really good.

I second all of this.

Also, if he can get as much info as possible out of his rescuers/captors, we need to know whatever he can find out. He is a genius, after all-- I'm sure he's capable of probing some conversational boundaries and maybe getting a better understanding of what's going on here.

Also ask him if there's anything he needs us to do, like, if we can provide any specific brain-boosting effects at any point. We should probably keep an alarm on him and see if we can have him ping us if he needs something. Can we set an alarm for "Finch wants our attention"?

I think kitty has a good idea, can we set a blood alarm for "Finch wants our attention". Also somebody else mentioned checking him for bugs, bot sure if our blood could pick up anomalies near our body or not...

I mostly meant to do that if they let him go- I seriously doubt they'd be willing to do so without surveillance.

Finch! You are decidedly less in pain than surgery to remove necrosis would generally cause!

After the bringing him up to date on the adventures in Mac-land, I suggest having him be careful to not tell tha po-po just how deep he is in all this. They restrained him, which means they know he's in on it, (prolly cause of blood syringes) but they might not know if he was acting on his own then. Might be able to use that to our advantage.

Also investigate Ms. Immune to flesh eaters as much as possible please. There might be more of that sort of people around here.

...You know, I bet we could make replacement organs out of our red. I'm not saying they did that, since we can still 'see' Finch, but they might have made them out of fake-mars if so. Maybe.

...I still think Ms. Immune to flesh eaters might be/have blood of a space alien like Mom.

Are there other alien races out there? Maybe we should ask Mom's red next time we see it.

Wait, did they just leave him in IR with his glasses on ?
They sure got weird protocols...

That's cause of sprites. Or they sanitized them. Er.. might want to check him for listening devices before we do much.
