You check on Dr. Finch.

It looks like several surgeons are preparing to work on him. The tools they have prepared look like the sort of thing you would need to start removing and replacing necrotic tissue. You don't see a cooler or other storage device around, which means they likely have a bio printer on the premises.

Nothing stands out as particularly strange or wrong about the situation, aside from Dr. Finch being in the government's hands in the first place.

You check your raven and your rat. You've been keeping tabs on them anytime you were awake during the night, and they never spotted anything out of place. The same is true now. Nothing unusual in or around the house.

You ask everyone how they're doing.

"Still here," Caius responds.

"Yeah. Pretty much," adds Fuse.

"Ready to get out of this sardine can," chuckles Michelle.

You offer to introduce everyone to your mother's red, but Michelle and Caius both decline.

"I wanna see it someday," Michelle says, "but we got a long day ahead of us, and I dunno if I'm ready for the skin walls just yet."

Fuse shrugs. "And I've already seen it. Don't get me wrong, it was cool and all, but... yeah."

Lastly, you check on Macland Row. He's passed out, sprawled across the bed in his hotel room, likely unconscious from a night of heavy drinking.

Looks like we are all as safe as can be. I think it's time to have the others watch over us while we force sync with MacLand.
Let's get comfy, get the others around, explain what we are going to do, induce Level effects, and sync up with MacLand.

can we send one of our ravens to finch's house to see what's going on outside the place now? also yeah, we should head back upstairs and maybe try and go find some breakfast or make some breakfast or something. try to pick up the pieces of our operation. after breakfast maybe we can talk to everyone and see what they think about us trying to pry information out of Macland while he's passed out drunk and less likely to be in a state to notice what we're doing.

@Mochi My concern with that is that he could wake up, we know he is unconscious would hate to miss the window.

@AlphaDragon: We do actually have the ability to pass people out. We kept doing it to Caius, remember? XD;

we can keep him asleep as long as we need him to be asleep, yeah. we could also probably imitate drunkeness, or ensure he has a hell of a hangover when he wakes up

A gaseous chemical that makes people pass out. I call it Passing Gas.

No wait. Bad wording. Nevermind.

...Could... Could we talk through an unconscious person? That might come in handy later.
Maybe work on controlling unconscious things too.
Not Finch, he seems alright where he is- Keep tabs on him for if anything happens to him other than the removal of necrotic tissue.

As for the actions of the day... Ask Fuse what it would possibly take to knock out, electrically, a building or region, and if it would be plausible to do so? Because that might help if we decided to get the jump on anyone.

Right now, we are, in my vague opinion, 'hunker down and wait' mode. Consider the moral implications of stealing what we'd need to save people, and/or blooding people to get them to give us stuff legally(ish?) over everybody being mind controlled by somebody who intended to keep using it.

Maybe... Maybe consider the long-range implications of our existence. We are a space alien, 'human shell' if you will, or not, but we are also human, 'space alien' heritage or not.

It would be nice if we could find more people to blood, preferably not against their will.

I suggest finding Grizwald.

If we aren't content to sit and wait, we could alternatively see if there's any sort of... GPS tracking or whatever we could use on our bloodfriends (E.G. Dr. Finch) to locate them from far away.

Honestly, I rather mistrust the Feds, but it might be a 'lesser of two evils' thing. Generally, I think our goals align, anyhow. Maybe. Unless they secretly want to control the world or something, they probably go by the whole 'protect people' concept. Us wanting to save people from malicious mind control kinda falls under that concept.

Possibly induce some sort of... something in Macland. I'm worried because of his brain being tampered with via watching stuff, he might be able to resist our commands, so don't push it, but uh... Keep him asleep? For a long time? Also, y'know, maybe investigate his sleep brain, but considering our connection with Michelle while she slept (and metaphorically/literally getting out via door), I fear his brain might lock us in with him. Sorta.

Uhhh... If not any of that, also just spend some time playing with the animal bloodfriends. Maybe inject more random animals? (Dogs for self-defense?) If we don't, TH might get the idea.

ALSO EAT BREAKFAST. Part of a healthy diet and all that.

One of the things about a distributed energy system... is EMP hit them HARD.
They're an open induction system, and induction works both directions.

If you're not afraid of blowing out a bunch of stuff, and potentially starting a few fires, this would be your method... but it's kinda brute-force.

Another method would be to take down the local distributor or regulator. Just like we need power stations to handle energy distribution, their system will need stations to handle the energy fluctuations (such as reducing the effects of EMP's so they don't cross grids or other forms of power surges)and the stations would be able to double as flow regulators to keep a set amount of energy in each zone.

I'm all for breakfast, but I think we need to leave. I guess we could eat and leave. Or find a diner (or whatever equivalent there is to a diner in this world). We were only here temporarily, and we got lucky in that no one thought we'd actually be crazy enough to be home while we're being hunted. But the tensions were high all night for a reason. Unless we deliberately want to bait the Fed lady into coming here herself so we can get the jump on her, we should think about relocating to a motel in the middle tiers.

As we leave, we should probably tell mom's red that some crazy people might try to find it and to be ready for it. And we should definitely slot everything back to where it was before (though I suppose some things are just a pain, like that foldable mattress. Might as well leave it down there).

We need to figure out exactly where Dr. Finch is. Can our raven help us? Can we... cleantex with a raven's memory to get a route? -v-?

Ravens can easily remember maps, people, and objects. So I mean the cleantex might not be needed, but yes that should work.

hello it is i with more fanpage updates! i spent a chunk of the evening adding some (most?) of the information Mom's red revealed to us to the Plottery page. also, some fun facts that were revealed in one of Morgenstern's streams have been added to both Fuse and Dr. Finch! i also added the ability to slow or prevent aging to the skills page.
