Morgenstern
You send the raven to the car parked outside. The driver is still inside, and appears to be messing with his phone. You can't get a clear view of what he's doing on it, exactly.

"No," Dr. Finch responds. "I don't see the lives of human beings as a game, Mister Arvin Carpenter."

Dr. Finch makes eye contact with the agent as he speaks the name.

"And it's Doctor Finch. One of us still has their license."

Arvin giggles, barely restraining it. "Was that for your friend? The... federal agent? Let me guess, Finchems--she's not in a big hurry to alert her superiors about me, is she? Did she call for backup? Aaawfully suspicious if you ask me, Doctor Finch."

Dr. Finch, beginning to get fed up with all this, suddenly fires two shots into the corpse's head. He begins to slowly, but carefully, make his way for the door. The agent is visibly stunned, but after a moment, begins to follow him.

"If you know something, you s-should say it, Carpenter. These vague statements and riddles come off as childish."

"Are you stalling for time, Finchy poo?" Arvin's voice heightens, his excitement clear in his tone. "That's okay. I am, too. I hope you're not trying to walk out right now--it's very contagious."

Dr. Finch stops in his tracks. His expression sinks. "Wh-What is? What's contagious?"

Hearing Dr. Finch utter the word contagious likewise kills the look on the agent's face. She's currently keeping her gun fixed on the corpse, but she throws a distressed glance back to Dr. Finch.

Arvin doesn't respond. He just... giggles. Lightly, at first, but it soon begins to build into full blown laughter.

Dr. Finch looks back at the body. "Y... You, you you you son of a bitch. What have you done?"

Arvin can barely contain his laughter long enough to reply. "GO, FINCH! SEE IF YOU CAN HIDE FROM THIS ONE! MAYBE YOU'LL BE SAFE IN THE LAUNDRY MACHINE, FINCH! GYEEYAHAHAHA!"

Your car approaches Dr. Finch's house. You can see the car that the Elegance guards took here from where you are.

Contagious? Well, whatever it is, our blood in Finch should save him. We can ask for help from our Red if we need to. We know our Red doesn't want any of our friends to die.

But the Agent needs our blood, ASAP.

That sick son of a bitch. It's a virus. Or something. Those guys had instructions. If things go south, use the syringes... Dammit! Right, we need to examine what's inside them Now!

Maybe inject some of the blood in the corpse to see if it can kill the virus.
Before that inject the agent while she's not looking since she'll try and detain blondie that inject the agent

I feel like sticking an armed maybe-not-federal-agent with a needle while she's not looking is a *terrible* idea. Let's not do that. People can go from "not looking" to "looking" quite quickly, and from "not looking" to "shooting" even faster.

Going bacteriologic war on us ? No time to waste. If it's that contagious they're both infected already anyway.

Tell the Fed to remove the corpses from the lab. Give her Fuse's number to call. Quarantine her and the corpses separately, then Finch should lock himself in his own lab and start having a look at those syringes' content. In the meantime the agent would reach Fuse and start learning how far the rabbit hole goes.

Hmm, I wonder if Agent Fed is acting without the knowledge of her superiors. If so, that means she might actually be a *better* ally for us, because who knows who's already under the control of StQ (or just bribes from the cult). The alternative option is that she herself is working for one of the groups of baddies, of course, which would be not so great.

As for what to do now... Can Jane feel around in Finch's blood for anything potentially infectious? Finch may need to poke around in his lab. It's always possible that Carpenter's bluffing, trying to keep us in the house so he can trigger a bomb or something (yikes, what if that's what the guy is doing with his phone?)

Also, Finch needs to be thinking about what objects he absolutely needs from his house, because it's pretty obvious that we're gonna need to leave here. I imagine some of his heavy equipment we can't take, but we should try to take as much as possible (as long as we rule out any possible contagions of course).

Also oh no, did Finch have any other rats in there? Are they okay? :C

Hmmm.. It's a disease?
If that's the case, then likely anyone with Red's touch won't die, but... Anyone without it would begin to die en masse?
...
...
Is this some ploy to get us to use blood on a large amount of people? Cause it'd probably work if so.

If we leave them neutral, they'll die, but if we blood them, they'll survive. Hmm...

---OOh! but what if it's the reverse!? Like he found some flaw in the alien gene and is exploiting that? This would affect anyone on Queen as well. But the agent, without the blood would be fine.

Edit: Also those Extra Gunshots will have splattered the material everywhere. If Finch wasn't infected before, he probably is now.

I TAKE NO RESPONSIBILITY FOR THIS
...At this point, stop being coy with the agent.
Tell her... Everything important, that she couldn't use against us.
Include our dude being the 'private detective' from before for some semblance of credibility.
If she's StQ'd they'd already know that.
Blood her if she's willing. If not, fine then. Tell her the other option is dying from the contagion.
Tell her to get ahold of any superiors she has, if she thinks it would help.
Also, uh, spray the car with bullets.

Geez Louise.

Okay, chuck that phone, that's annoying and useless now.

I think we should probably leave it to Dr. Finch to determine what action is appropriate to take next in terms of quarantine and/or studying what the hell Carpenter did. I mean, I just want him out of there already, but something tells me that may not be a good idea.

We should take care of the Elegance driver asap (knock him out) and check his phone. Maybe just a couple of us (Michelle and Caius?) can go out to take care of that.

As a side-note I am not for injecting the Fed lady with anything at this point. Her agenda seems to be separate from all else, so she needs to make her intentions clear.

i agree that we do need to get answers from agent lady, but i think that can wait until we're not facing possible death at the hands of a class A nutjob,

It's one of those really tricky situations because blooding the "Fed" without her permission seems a bit blwagh, and blooding with her permission is another obstacle course altogether. -v-;;; Of course, I see the sense in prioritising keeping her alive first, regardless of whether she turns out to be a jerk or not.

Yeah, Finch is a genius after all-- it's probably a good idea to get his input on what's going on and what the hell we should do!

Yep! He's the expert here! He knows everything, from molecular structures in our blood, political debates, surgical procedures (even advising Jane performing surgery on himself while on painkillers, no less) to where to catch wild ravens. Dr. Finch ruins the effect every time he self-proclaims his genius-ness, but there's no denying it... he's da bestest.

(he'd better be okay no matter what that crappy thing Carpenter did is, just saying)

warn everyone in the car. if there's really a contagion, then we can't go inside. quickly ask our Red if our blood can fight off diseases. if so, finch needs to inject agent lady right the fuck now before something horrible happens. also, hang up the phone, we won't get anything useful out of carpenter. he's a fucking lunatic.

As for if the blood can fight diseases? Yes, yes it can. All that normal medicines are are chemicals.
The catch is that we'd have to know what to use to fight it, or learn how it works by exposure to it.
So we know we can fight NORMAL diseases, but if it's designed toward the blood? Who knows.
