You give Michelle a big hug.

"Whoa, uh, alright," she smiles, hugging you back. "Were the spiders that bad?"

Michelle looks around, takes in what's going on, and then speaks again. "Someone gimme a gun."

You realize that Michelle's still toting a shotgun, which is maybe not the best for a car chase. You hand your handgun, and she rolls down the window. Between her and Caius using her skills, the Elegance car is shot a few more times, one of the bullets managing to hit the driver. The enemy car loses control and goes off the road, slamming into a sign. You successfully get away.

You also check on Dr. Finch, and ask how he's doing. He is not able to respond, as he is currently locked in his laboratory with the federal agent from before. There's a loud BOOM as something slams against the door once... twice... and a third time. The agent has her gun ready. It seems like someone's trying to force their way into the lab.

Okay people: pros and cons.

Pros: Car chase win, Caius+Michelle=awesome, now we have our chance to have a raven follow Agent McBigHair
Cons: Agent McBigHair is back, she knows something about Dr. Finch (probably too much), she is alone with him and a gun, he is unarmed, and something bad is trying to get in the lab.

Honestly, being locked in a room with something bad trying to get in is a great way to forge bonds quickly, in our experience :P I'm seeing more pro than con. With, of course, the imminent death by big slammy thing being a definite con.

What in the blazes

How far away from Dr. Finch are we? Probably not close enough.

Let the others in the car know what's going on, and I guess get ready to help Dr. Finch through this with rapid syncing if necessary. Yikes.

EDIT: The thought of Dr. Finch suddenly displaying martial arts skills or amazing gun handling is making me shake uncontrollably with silent laughter. I so want this to happen. So bad.

Oh hey looks like it's time for more syncing.

I think this serves well enough as evidence that this agent isn't working for the enemy. (not knowingly at least) Maybe we should try explaining things to her if we can get her and Dr. Finch out of this sticky situation.

While some might see this in that light, I am not remotely certain of that. It is entirely possible that the agent was sent to interrogate Finch or investigate his connection to the hospital events, and was in the middle of something bad when BOOMBOOM GUY (probably and hopefully not Nimrod) showed up.

We should sync with Finch and read his thoughts to see how she ended up in a room with him, and what in blazes is going on.

Well Finch and Agent McBigHair (thanks WalkerOfSorrow) are in the lab which means that they're trapped. So I guess we should try to get there as soon as possible. The question after is how are we going to deal with this. We need to save Finch, but Ms Agent is also there. I guess we could try to get the details from Finch without alerting the agent.

Gosh, we really just can't look away from anything or things start going to hell, don't they?

I'm presuming from the fact that our Fed friend is pointing the gun at the door, and not at Finch, that she's on our side at least for the moment. Let's hope she's never been Queened! Let's try to grab the relevant information right out of Finch's brain, if we can; it'll be quicker than him trying to explain it verbally. Then we can figure out what we need to sync to him in order to get him and Ms. Fed through this alive.

As you helpfully pointed out, being in a confined space where something big and bad is a threat to the lives of everyone inside...well, that tends to make fast friends of anyone in the room. At least until the threat is gone.

fuck fuck fuckity fuck.

well, i think agent lady knows we're involved now! we need to know what's going on in the lab, and we need to keep the two of them safe. i don't care that she's after us, i cannot stress how bad it would be if she got queened. a federal agent opens a fuckload of doors we don't want the queen plot getting through. if she gets stung, there's no way it stops with her. they'll use her to get more. it's bad enough they have the financial backing they do. imagine if they had access to the resources afforded to the FBI.

i think we might want to risk phoning finch and talking to the agent directly. we don't have any time to waste, here. whatever is on the other side of that door is definitely dangerous and defintely not going to give up.

We went to Grizwald's arcade with that stupid tracked phone, too (#304). We just blew all the covers.

Better regroup, fix the current mess and tell miss Fed the whole story face to face.
Everywhere is going to be under surveillance from either Macland's goons or Enyo cultists, so warning Grizwald might backfire.

Jane's big talk with Michelle can wait for now.
WalkerOfSorrow 5th Sep 2017, 12:53 AM edit delete reply
We don't need to warn Grizwald. Because he's just...that...damn...good.

Also yeah, we royally forked up with that phone. How did we not think of a bug?

Does Finch have a Surgical laser he could try to get up and running?
Having something against a boom-boom is better than nothing.
Mayhaps a Molotov or something else from the chemicals?
WalkerOfSorrow 5th Sep 2017, 12:55 AM edit delete reply
Oooh, hard pass on the Molotov in an enclosed space. But if he has something, even a scalpel, we've got syncmates that can help him fight or shoot or whatever he needs.

Sync Michelle's self defense skills to Dr.Finch and fast
Also make them get in the locker and hide

Wow I just wanna say, awesome interactive comic Sir MM. Even though my comment on "catching ravens“ looked like it would fall flat, you still managed to get us all to feel involved. Thank you!

Also good to see the good Doctor carefully weighing the options. After Jane gets the information, advise Flinch to keep his own "piece" concealed if the agent don't already knows about it.

All in all I guess my vote goes to the group of comments for "more information".
