You fight through the pain, at least long enough to give yourself a painkiller effect. As it starts to kick in you roll off of the counter and onto the floor.

You try to squeeze at the tiger woman's head, or force her into the electric door, using your bandages. However, she manages to resist with some effort. Though bandages under your control seem stronger than normal bandages, they are still just bandages. Before she manages to get the bandages ripped from her face, you start getting to your feet, and throw one of the volatile chemical vials at the shield generator. You then grab one of the acid vials, and throw it at the woman.

She shreds your bandages, ripping the pieces from her face just in time to throw her arms up, screaming as the vial breaks across her arms. The acid starts to eat into her flesh, smoking rising from her forearms. The shield generator makes a loud, awful popping noise. There's another loud sound, and a flash of light, from the hallway. The pressure, the heavy pounding in your chest increases. You can barely bring yourself to move.

Your needles are still scattered all over the floor. You start commanding them at the woman. She does her best to fight them off, snatching them out of the air and throwing them at the floor, stomping them out with incredible speed... but eventually, she's overwhelmed. You manage to stick her. You feel your blood fighting through the radioactivity, working its way toward control. With her last few seconds, she reaches down and picks your gun up off the floor.

She puts the barrel against her chin and pulls the trigger. Her body hits the floor. She dies before you fully gain control of her.

You take a moment to try and block your body's adrenaline. Your chest continues to hurt, your heart pounding... not fast, per se, but hard. You start leaning into the counter for support as you start to feel intense pain in other parts of your body, even through your numbing effect. The pain makes it difficult to focus on, but you try to contact Dr. Finch, and explain... well, at least a rough version of what's going on. Cutting off your adrenaline supplies doesn't seem to be helping.

"Oh my... my my my, maybe the problem isn't too much epinephrine. There's a condition called polyglandular Addison’s--it's rare, but its victims can't produce adrenaline when they're meant to. The body still activates the stress response, but there's no increase in blood pressure or sugar or or or a number of other things. Being on level may affect the body like a subdued version of polyglandular Addison’s, in which case the answer is more adrenaline, not less."

It sounds like a shot in the dark, but blocking the adrenaline off didn't seem to help. You start trying to put it in reverse, forcing your body to produce more epinephrine. You can hear the shield generator crackling, shaking, as if something inside it is trying to burst.

It takes some time, and you end up increasing your own painkiller dosage by a substantial amount before the end, but you finally start to ease up the pounding in your chest.

Evacuate room and check on Fuse. In that order.

Agreed. Being anywhere near that generator is a bad thing.

Thank Finch for the diagnosis.

Check Fuse's surroundings while rushing out.
Enough bad surprises for the day.

we need to help fuse first and foremost. that sounded like another improvised flashbang. fight through, grab our gun, and make sure he doesn't get himself killed.

the shield generator sounds like it's about to blow, and being in the room when it does doesn't seem smart. so, back to the fucking hallway of death we go.
