You take a quick check on Macland Row.

The large, hanging screen has come to life, and is projecting horrible imagery. Flashing lights, closeups of... something, various uncomfortable symbols, footage playing in reverse or at strange speeds. The scarred guard is compelled to look away from the screen. Macland, though unconscious, has his eyes pried open by small devices, forcing him to watch the entire thing. Perceiving through him, you can hardly bring yourself to even look at the screen, its display physically sickening.

Uh... Oh, I know. Make some blood come out of his eyes. That will alarm/gross out/be a warning sign to those there, and they might turn off the screen and/or take Macland away.

I side with rufiangel on this one. Let's not force our only advantage to come spurting out of him. That might just lead to exsanguination, eye transplant, and a hearty load of Save the Queen.

Well I don't mean make him gush... Just some dribbles, maybe at the edges.

Setting us a trap for us subconsciously, I see... this is not going to be pretty. Those images are going to come right at us when we try to sync with this guy...

... but hey, at least they're not shooting him up with Queen! *cheers*

I think we can take on creepy memetic defense mechanisms because let's face it, our Red is REALLY freaky, but then again, the creepy green-one-eyed guy said the results were 'statistically perfect'. So this may be a bit rough on us.

I have a feeling the Prophet and Bane-a-like are going to just stand there quietly breathing until our guard wakes up again. :/ Still think it'd be good to figure out a way to get them to leave, whether it's by a fake police raid, Fuse causing a fake 'electrical fire' or something... I mean, I know we barely know the guard but poor guy, right? :'D

Agreed, but Jane and company may not handle the images as well as us. Except Fuse, he's seen Jane's yaoi collection; he's ready for anything (SARCASM SIGN).

Our best counter to creepy memetic defense would be to nuke the mind on the other side with something creepier, but since the images are coming from a screen and not, like, Queen or someone, we'd just end up pulling a Scanners on our 'friend' Mac.

Prophet gives me a lot of pause. Bane-a-like's solution is easier: avoid until we cannot anymore (like we have been) and then kill it like the rest (like we have been). I think Prophet might just stand there in the 'electrical fire' and look creepy.

If possible imitate Maclead being drugged on level and painkillers so he views this as a hallucination episode and nothing more at the least. At best it may interfere with the subliminal bear trap being properly set.

that's actually not a bad idea, really. it might mess with the process.

welp that's a lost cause let's go see if we can get our guard out of this massive, weird, drug-addled pickle he's in and maybe gain a new friend in he process.

Getting some Morphogenic Engine vibes from this thing.
Not much to do about that situation, but Jane will probably end up needing to sync at one point, so maybe trying now can give her an inkling of what she'll have to fight against later.

This is like the opening scene of "Robot Chicken."
