You have the guard ask if Prophet is alright.

"...Yes." He takes a moment to catch his breath. "The air up here is... not... what I'm used to."

While he fights to recover, you tell Dr. Finch what's going on.

"The air up here?," Dr. Finch mutters to himself. "He must be from one of the lowest tiers. The closer you get to the surface, the worse the pollution becomes and the more frequent mutations are. A good deal of the population living near the surface of the planet have adapted to the horrible pollution--some of them even have radioactive blood. The clean air may be affecting him in a negative fashion. My only advice is, perhaps, to play into his delusions."

Prophet finally gets back to his feet, adjusting his robes. You have the guard suggest that joining the Enyo followers may not be so bad--are there any rituals? Meeting places? Anything else you need to know?

"Just... one. Very important one."

Prophet fishes around in his pockets for a moment... before pulling out a small object, encased in a towel. He unravels the towel, slowly revealing a needle full of Save the Queen.

"This formula will enlighten you. It will give your body... to Enyo."

You quickly feed this revelation back to Dr. Finch.

"No, no no no!," Dr. Finch blurts out in a panic, "That... that that that means that Enyo IS TH! TH has been manipulating this shadow cult, and by extension the Prophet, by pretending to be a religious figurehead. That mutant is being used by the exact sort of rich scum he opposes, likely to... to to to push the class war. Maneuvering the rich to hate the poor, the poor to hate the rich... Macland and Prophet both work for TH but would probably kill each other given half the chance. By destabilizing his circle while having them all play into the overall agenda, TH can pull the strings without any fear of his agents banding together to stop him. Prophet's faith, Macland's fear... they're all just tools to keep the circle working for TH, whether they want to or not.

It's not a fracture in the church at all. It's misinformation to further obfuscate TH's role!"

Prophet grabs his own wrist, steadying the hand that holds the needle.

"Will you agree to it? To pledge your loyalty to the queen? Will you let me inject you with the blood of the goddess?"

Ah crap, it's worse than I thought. The entire cult is subverted.
If Jane shows up right now the controller will use that prophet and his buff mutant bodyguard to kill her.

We must clean them both of Queen before diplomacy can even start.
Any strategists around ?

I say we just roll with it, let him inject us. Our blood will overpower it anyway.
Eternity 19th Aug 2017, 6:28 PM edit delete reply
Oh. Right. He knows it's us. Yeah, they'll probably kill us... But if we inject them before talking it out, they'll never believe we're the good guys. Hm... Yeah, I got nothing. This is a bit of a pickle...

our blood will probably overpower the queen, so i think we can have the guard be injected. if it gets him out of the warehouse, then we can get him to us and hopefully work with him, that or give him the chance to get out of the city. i can't see him being down for what we're doing but we can probably afford to take the chance on him. if he gets violent we can put him down if we need to.

Say no. You have to remember that we're supposed to be a normal guard for Elegance. Normal people don't like being restrained, blindfolded, taken to a strange place, then offered to take some strange drug from a cult leader.

Have him start whimpering in fear and pass out in pure terror.
Macheman7 19th Aug 2017, 7:57 PM edit delete reply
We've established one point where he passed out form being presented a needle; Do it again. Create a biography of needle phobia.
Also, have him scream something like "NO NEEDLES" or something. Maybe it will scare the prophet into passing out.

might be worth a try though, could end badly for the guard. if we show any aggression, the big guy might squish us

Whoa whoa WHOA :'DDD

Er, how about saying something around the lines of 'Wait a second. Why me? What's so special about me that you want to inject ME with the blood of your goddess?'

Also, I have a weird idea and I don't know if it would work. But if Fuse lit a controlled fire (small one) right in front of the vent, would it suck some oxygen out of that room enough to get the struggling-to-breathe red-glasses guy to faint? XD;
Mochi 19th Aug 2017, 9:08 PM edit delete reply
doubtful, it's a pretty big warehouse... and that's probably not the only vent.
rufiangel 19th Aug 2017, 9:40 PM edit delete reply
*sigh* Yeah, I figured... just a tiny hope I had that we could somehow do stuff without going into the vent XD

Blood is Mine fan data page - kind of like a poor man's wiki XD;

I've been working on it the past couple of days - still working on it but figured there's enough there to share. If anyone wants to help edit it I can post the edit link -v-

Nice! This could probably be useful in sticky situations...

Plottery is the greatest name for a section I've ever seen.
Macheman7 19th Aug 2017, 11:28 PM edit delete reply
Nice! There's been several times I've wanted to find something and not wanted to look it up in the archives. I assume you'll be updating it continuously? If so, thanks for your efforts! :D
rufiangel 20th Aug 2017, 12:16 PM edit delete reply
Thanks guys! :D (Thanks for Flattery for Plottery <3) It's certainly my aim to make it handy for readers to refer to, when wanting to find something. Also, hopefully if a new reader hops in halfway, they might be able to read this thing to get a brief summary of events. (Though of course I'd rather they read everything from the top since it's that awesome -v-)

I'll be updating it a little every day to try and encapsulate all the important data where I can. Anyone can feel free to chip in on what's missing XD; (I haven't even tried to put our 'Red' in there yet because it's hard to think of where to begin with that one!)

I updated it just now and going to bed -v-)7 I just added some notes on Politics and Mutations and put in some stuff for Macland Row. Oh, and updated some bits and bobs on Temple of Enyo since this Prophet guy is bleating, hee. :D

Have the guard downplay the quality of their product. An example:'You're still using the purple one?! that was the beta version, mine is directly from the goddess and allows her to assume control and work her powers Through me.' which if you let him make a phone call I can have delivered to this location as proof (with the big guy as the first test).
Mochi 20th Aug 2017, 1:43 AM edit delete reply
that is super sneaky and i doubt it'll actually work but if this were a game with choices and save states i'd probably quicksave to try that option just to see what happened rofl
Jimson 20th Aug 2017, 1:46 AM edit delete reply
Don' forget the guard is blindfolded. If he calls it out by color, that's a huge red flag, and almost certainly a dead giveaway that he's under Jane's control.
