You cause your guard to pass out.

The scarred man is just about to inject the chatter when he notices the victim's head drooping. He lifts your guard's sunglasses, checking his eyes.

"'Ey, Mack? I think this guy's fainted. He scared of needles or something?"

"Maybe," Macland replies with an incredulous tone, "...Maybe. Somebody had to have seen something, dammit."

"A couple guys did, sure," says the scarred man. "They're both dead." He slips the cap back onto the needle and shoves it into his pocket. "So now what? We just gonna leave him here?"

Macland fidgets, visibly frustrated. "Yeah, probably. Not like he's going anywhere, and we got more important things to do than wait for him to wake up. He'll probably just keep passing out anyway. We'll come back to him."

Macland turns and begins to walk away, his associate hesitating a bit between Mack and the tied up guard. "You sure you wanna do this?"

Macland stops. He breathes in deep... and then he exhales slowly. "No. Hell no. But I'm running out of options."

Keep the guy passed out until they leave. Try to surf Macland's top thoughts, without syncing, if we can. If not, now's a good time to see exactly how much subconscious we can access on the guard. Poor guard; No matter who's controlling him, he's expendable, one way or another.
Also, if something starts going horribly wrong have Macland empty the syringe and inject the scarred guard with his blood.
Because he totally has a syringe.

Actually, can we test this out? Can one of our friends - Fuse or Michelle or Dr. Finch - attempt to draw their own blood and then try it on a lab rat (if Finch has any left) to see if we still are able to control it with this secondary blood transfer? I wonder.

"A couple guys did, sure. They're both dead."

I'm assuming he's talking about the guard we controlled as one of the guys for sure. The second guy... the one Fuse accidentally lit on fire? Both of them died, I'm going to guess. Either that, or the guy got horrible burns but survived, and the second guy he's referring to is the bartender.

But the bartender is the guy who didn't really know what happened and was pretty much led into thinking making free drinks for the VIP room was his own idea, so I don't know if he really counts as someone who 'saw' something. He never noticed us in the vents. But then he's definitely dead, so uh, I guess there's that.

I AM CONFUSE

At any rate, better get our crew up to speed. And maybe figure out if we can set up 'blood alarms' as someone suggested last page because those would be useful >_> (like, a blood alarm for when the 'scared of needles' guard wakes up again).

The guard that was lit on fire did not make it.

;v; awww okay

In that case I guess those are the two being referred to. What happened with the bartender remains to be seen...

Thanks for clarifying, MM -v-*)/
