You ask your red about externalizing it.

"You could, I think," it begins. "Though I don't know how well you could recover from that. The red grows out of you. It wouldn't look like this, either. Some things look nicer in your head than they really are."

You inquire whether or not you could imitate Fuse's pyrokinesis.

"Same problem. Fuse has a genetic mutation that alters his brain structure, giving him psychic power. You've learned how to block pain signals to the brain, and that's a good baby step... but fundamentally reshaping the brain is way different. You could survive with a broke brain, but it's what supplies a lot of your... human functions. Like most of your feelings. I know you're pretty ATTACHED to those, so maybe be careful with your brain."

You ask if your blood can be moved independently, like making needles or constructs out of it. Your red shakes its head.

"Blood needs a vessel. It is mind, but not body. Once your blood is inside something, you are a part of it... but your blood cannot act on its own."

Thank Red for the details. Makes me wonder how Jane's mom pulled her stunt, although being grown up and used to alien stuff probably helped.
... does Red need anything ? It feels like her own comfort level is linked to Jane's. Did she like the ice cream ?

I wonder... If we filled an IV bag and one of those tubes with a needle with blood, could we control that sooorta like a snake? Injector drone type thing?

Oooh, I like this idea. A blood-snake could get into all sorts of places we can't fit, and such. Now we can explore even non-person-sized vents!

I wonder if ComicFury is getting DDoS'd? It took thirty minutes to load this page.

Anyway, we should find more rats.
I dunno. I was thinking of Skitter from Worm, and how she would munchkin these powers.

Yeah, that's why there's been so few updates today. ComicFury's had awful loading/lag issues all day, no clue what's up.

I suspect someone dropped a vat of biopaste on the server.
They don't want you spreading the truth...

Laggggggggg!!!! Also try to find as many small Inanimate stuff that you can Bleed on so that you can do an Infiltration Thing

Whew, loading issues seem to be fixed today, that's good news.

I wonder-- could we use mosquitoes/biting flies/other bugs as a delivery mechanism for blood? Even bugs that drink blood will generally also inject something to make the blood easier to drink or keep the host from noticing it's being bitten, so theoretically we could also use blood-drinking bugs as blood-*injecting* bugs. Or we could find venomous spiders or something and fill 'em up with blood instead.

Maybe it would be easier to make our own bug-like vessels out of needles and bags. If all the blood needs is a vessel, can it shape that vessel into something that can move around like a living creature (like the aforementioned IV-bag blood-snake)? Even without specialized tools to make very small artificial insects or something, we could use things like blood-filled rubber gloves to create things with "legs" that can crawl around, and use various bits of medical tubing to create even smaller and harder-to-detect things. And the advantage of making small blood-powered creatures is that it would take less blood to fill them up, so we don't knock ourselves out with the blood loss from making our spying-and-remote-injection critters!

Or we could make the limbs out of blood-soaked bandages. IV bag full of blood, tie bandages around it to serve as appendages, attach a syringe to it, and you have a bloodtopus!

I thiiiink CF is back on track now, but golly did I miss Blood is Mine while it was out! XD;

Then again, I did actually want to sketch this yesterday but Fuse's car explosion took a lot longer than expected so I didn't do it. So I did it just now instead :D

Break times for all, MM included during the CF server slowdown -v-*

Hmmm. But once we inhabit a vessel, basically, we can do anything with it. Alright!

I don't know if we shouldn't necessarily go in guns blazing with so few of us. We do now have a intel-rat (maybe). XD; I vote stealth route, at least at the infiltration stage. (Goodness knows most of the time, when it gets to the getting-out part of the plan, no matter how stealthy the first part was we're all screwed and running out fast as we can by the end of it lol)
Kitty 8th Aug 2017, 1:36 PM edit delete reply
Yes, this seems like the right attitude to take. "Try for stealth, expect that stealth will not necessarily happen and be prepared to end up guns-blazing by the end of it." XD But at least we can *try.*
