You give a quick shout to Michelle, asking if she could check for cameras in Howler's apartment. She agrees to it.

While Fuse skims through Howler's e-mails trying to find out more about what this cult actually believes, you attempt to send a message to Dr. Finch. You've not actually tried to communicate this way yet, and it takes you a couple of tries to find a method that works. It's less like speaking into his mind, and more like causing him to think to himself the words you're trying to say to him. You quickly figure out that it's much, much easier for you to get his messages if he says them out loud.

You explain to him everything you've found out so far.

"My my my... that is a series of developments, isn't it? Yes. Yes it is. Hm, hm hm hm... if your death and glorious resurrection are really just a symptom of your body rejecting Queen... but they have a written prophecy of someone rising from the dead in response to Queen... then either this has happened before, or they had evidence it could happen. That means your response is documented behavior, and it also means... oooh it also means that they MIGHT have been aware of the manner of powers you'd obtain from the process! That would explain why their prophecies vilify you--because they knew you'd be able to overwrite their control mechanisms, making you a threat to their entire operation!

So naturally, they cooked up scriptures to keep their wayward church in line. If somebody ever has THIS SPECIFIC reaction to the drug, you should kill them because they're the devil. Boom. Done. One line of fine print and all the brainwashed wackos start keeping an eye out.

Although...

Hm. Hm hm hm.

How much of it is religious brainwashing, and how much of it is direct control, I wonder? You said Fuse had control of himself, up until the point that he was turned on you. He wasn't part of the cult, and he hadn't injected Queen in quite some time... which means those injected with Queen could be automatically programmed to kill you on sight--thought that would be difficult for a conventional street drug. Nanobots, maybe, but if whole forums worth of people have been trying to reverse engineer the drug, they would have likely found robots by now.

No... no no no, I think I know the answer.

When you have your blood in someone, you can see through them, yes? And you can take control of them sometimes, but you don't have constant control...

What if Queen is like that?

Anyone that's ever injected Queen... the head of the operation can see through them, or manipulate them, but they have to make a conscious choice to do so. A bit like cameras--if a Queen victim sees you, you might be okay, as long as the head honcho isn't looking through that victim at the time. That's why Fuse turned on you so suddenly--the head of the game saw you through Fuse, then told Fuse to attack.

But if they saw you through Fuse...

that means they know you're there.

I would try not to dawdle too much, oh no no no. They may be coming for you."

Quickly get every evidence then run to the place where we're suppose to go but leave Fuse behind (Because duh He's a spy and he don't know it! Leave him in a position where finch can save him if needed but otherwise his position is safe) Also since they know where we're going we're going ARMED AND PRIMED TO KILL IF NECESSARY!

Oh yeah and also make sure that grizwald isn't a trap that been turned after fuse saw the tape.... Actually maybe fuse lost being controlled after Jane blood took over?

I agree, Fuse is safe now. But let's GTFO. Now, before some suicidal zealots shows up with a homemade bomb strapped to themselves.

Hmm… Who hired Vasquez Law Enforcement in the first place?
Grizwald?
Whoever's behind Queen? But that wouldn't make much sense if it was a rescue operation.
Someone else?

Well, rescue for hired guns tends to be "deliver person to designated place, whatever happens after that ain't our problem" unless they're deemed loose ends.
So it's still up in the air for who hired Vasquez Law Enforcement

Basically "it's all right you're good now", then you get taken back around the shed.

... Yeah that sounds about right. Find whatever we can and let's book it. Fuse might need to be a human flamethrower at some point, seeing how we're lacking in overt weapons here.

Find hair dye. Or a hat. And get the Hell out of dodge. Either rendezvous with Dr. Finch (either to pick him up or drop off Fuse) or head for Grizwald in a roundabout manner.

In either case, you want to be gone in the next ten minutes.

There is a streak of white in that hair I did not notice until now that wasn't there the first time we saw him. Is it the effect of Jane's blood? Well, CRAP, I mean we just injected Fuse with it and we're talking about injecting Michelle with it now too. Does it accelerate ageing or cause major stress? Crap damn it.

Well it was one of us that gave him the order to kill her.... so it's one of us controlling queen!
