You ask the nurse-you if she knows where to go next.

"Not a clue," she replies. "There's monsters and stuff behind the skin door, and the closet is just... a big hole."

You check under the bed, just in case. ...Alas, nothing of note.

You stare down the huge eyeball that has replaced your computer. It doesn't seem to react, just... gazing forward, blankly.

You lean down, and reach into the mouth. Again it opens, letting you take hold of one of the scalpels.

You take a deep breath... and jerk the scalpel out quickly, pulling your entire arm out of the mouth-desk as swiftly as you can.

The teeth slam shut, narrowly missing your fingers by an instant.

You head to the door, and begin to saw through the flesh that covers the door. Beyond it is is a hallway.

"Yeah, that's one," says nurse-you.

"He...Hello? Do you like hugs?"
EclairForce 14th Jun 2018, 7:53 PM edit delete reply

Yeah lets not waste any time here. figure out what conditions are required to kill it with hugs.
Skullrama 14th Jun 2018, 7:54 PM edit delete reply
We cannot assume that it is not hostile. Hugs will need to be on hold until we ascertain safety.

Approach... Cautiously. Be ready to move and defend yourself.
chaosblitz 14th Jun 2018, 9:33 PM edit delete reply
seconded. see if you can talk to them, but have a scalpel ready just in case.
Nayru9572 14th Jun 2018, 7:54 PM edit delete reply
Try to communicate with that aspect of you.
Also, thank nurse-you for coming with you. It's very much appreciated.
Gigafreak 14th Jun 2018, 7:55 PM edit delete reply
Greet the monster-self. Cautiously. Be ready to dodge into the previous room if she proves less than friendly. And maybe the nurse-self should hide under the bed-- we don't want collateral damage.

I second caution. This might be our *biggest* fear. Pun totally intended.
PurpleKetchup 14th Jun 2018, 11:55 PM edit delete reply
Mine's biggest fear would ostensibly show her dead friends.
Instead, she looks more like what Mine might have become if she never made friends to begin with...

Well, there's a first for everything. Let's make friends (cautiously).

No thinking about the bone armor spell! Think fluffy kitties and project that on To this aspect.
Madd 14th Jun 2018, 8:04 PM edit delete reply
Hello other self, would you perhaps like to put down those giant knives and have a nice chat, maybe over some tea? It's a shame we don't have any tea really though.

What happened to your eyes? Would you like a hug?

(For maximum silliness. :V)

I agree with greeting cautiously, being ready to fight or flee as needed. Nurse-Mine may fear the "monster," but now-Mine doesn't necessarily need to.

She's covered in bloodied bandages-- can we control that blood, if we need to? If we're forced to flee, we might actually be able to slow her down using the "greater willpower/greater need" concept for blood control that enaJ (or I guess, now we know, eniM) showed us in the Error Room. Hopefully it won't be necessary, but something to think about.

I'm starting to wonder if this monster-self represents anger and aggression. Maybe she can be made to see that her attacks are misplaced if the bandages are lifted from her eyes. If she turns out to be hostile, though, it's probably not the best time to try that right this moment.
Twelveseal 14th Jun 2018, 8:48 PM edit delete reply
It might be anger or aggression, but... I think this might be the part of Mine that thinks of herself as being a monster. This may be more a matter of fear of herself, guilt over those we've hurt and who've been hurt because of her, and the self-loathing that comes with that.
Spades 14th Jun 2018, 8:50 PM edit delete reply
I think she's wearing scraps of Prophet's robe. That might also explain the bloody knife.
Gigafreak 14th Jun 2018, 9:01 PM edit delete reply
Knives. There's one in each hand.
...But wasn't Prophet's blood grey?

Start a conversation with the most obvious cuestion we can:
If you are that tall, then we can be a bit taller if we wanted?

Being able to increase and decrease some inches at will can come handy XD.
Cyanic 14th Jun 2018, 9:50 PM edit delete reply
looks hostile, but still us, I agree with taking caution. That us looks like she has stabby things in her hands, let's also make sure nurse us doesn't get super killed
Gigafreak 14th Jun 2018, 10:21 PM edit delete reply
Her face and wrists are bandaged. If Mine were fighting someone and had her blood powers, this is two-thirds of how she would try to stop them at first. The missing third is bandages around the ankles to restrict the feet. That, plus the bloodied knives and bloodied face, makes me wonder if this monster self is emerging from a fight with another self. Is... is there another self on the floor in that room, slowly bleeding out...?

Note the abnormal size, particularly the shoulder. I'm thinking this may be linked to the time Mine regenerated a chunk of her shoulder back at the warehouse.
pkrankow 15th Jun 2018, 6:23 AM edit delete reply
Maybe you are onto something here

For reference:

If I'm right, that might be panic or fear of becoming a monster, something along those lines.

Ask if she needs help.
We can totally help her fix herself
Espylacopa 15th Jun 2018, 2:37 AM edit delete reply
What are you? Fear? Rage? Aggression? In any case we need to acknowledge that having these feelings doesn't mean there's something wrong with you. They don't make you a monster. It's just a matter of making the judgment, when to act on them and when it's best not to. Sometimes that not so easy and sometimes people make the wrong call but it's all a part of being human.
Frission 15th Jun 2018, 4:34 AM edit delete reply
Yikes, it looks like Mine if she was one of Thale's monsters o_O
